Zoey is Xerath fused with Nidalee

It's like they fused two balanced champs into an immortal god, which happens to be a 6 year old pixie girl.

What is this madness? She does 700 damage on her paddle star, while a Xerath main would have to pull his combo off perfectly, or a nidalee would have to land a perfect skill shot with that slow javelin.

I've seen a zoe just take nothing but cooldown, and safely kill off the entire team inside the tower solo. 45% Zoe = abuse the hell out of paddle star.

This kind of power spike is the type of thing that would only seek to run off new players out of frustration. Where's the damn learning curve here? If you dodge a wrench you can dodge a paddle star? XD

Come on people, I understand getting hit with the stun, and getting my ass kicked then but being destroyed without any combo whatsoever or even some busted ass rune to set it up is ridiculous. Please Please Please be open minded when you talk, mindless babble only reduces the quality of the conversation. If you want to convince everyone that Zoe is a balanced champ by all means state something that makes sense.

Zoe is fine. She has some insane damage, and solid single target cc, but her mobility is pretty lacklustre until she pops a summoners or stolen spell. Main way to play around her is to use minions as body block and to space yourself about 800 units away while her ult and paddle star are up. She is rather similar to Yasou honestly, where she has weaknesses, but they mostly apply to the macro level of gameplay. As unhelpful as it may seem, the best strategy is to just stay behind minion wave and space yourself properly.

Not even close. Xerath doesn't have to jump into threat range, no matter how momentary it is, to poke someone from a distance.

His ult serves to only massively widen this gap.

And yes, Zoe is balanced. Is she broken? Hell yes. But those are two different things. You can balance a broken champion without fixing their fundamental issues.

Broken = breaking core fundamentals that should be upheld in champion design. Overpowered (not balanced) = statistically performing above what's considered reasonably above average.

That's not to say their broken aspects shouldn't be addressed, it simply means they aren't unbalanced.

Today I had her on ARAM and... OMG her damage even on tanks with that Q alone is abnormous!

I've never seen such levels of burst with so few gear, not to mention that it relaly oneshots squishies.

Paddle Star gets compared to Nidalee’s Javelin Toss, stating that the two are functionally similar—dealing large amounts of damage at long range—but Javelin Toss got nerfed for it. However, this is not a fair comparison. Let me demonstrate why: the range of Nidalee’s Javelin Toss is 1500 units. The range of Zoe’s Paddle Star is 800 units. As you can see, the range of Javelin Toss vastly exceeds the range of Paddle Star. No matter how the spell is cast, Paddle Star’s range remains a fixed distance from Zoe. Most skill-shots actually have greater range than Paddle Star, putting it below average. But I realize this does not tell the whole story. Paddle Star’s range can be enhanced, most commonly by Zoe’s Portal Jump ability. Let’s examine the range when we include this. Portal Jump has a range of 575, bringing the total range to 1375 units. While the range has certainly improved, it still comes short of Nidalee’s Javelin Toss. Bear in mind that Zoe only gains this range by using an ability she can’t get until she reaches level six, while Nidalee can have this range as early as level one. There is, however, one more thing we can do: run in the direction we’re casting the spell. With a base movement speed of 340 units per second, we get a final range of 1715 units. Only now do we exceed the range of Javelin Toss. Let’s also keep in mind that the inverse is also true: Paddle Star’s range is decreased if Zoe runs in the opposite direction of her spell, bringing it down to 460 units. Meanwhile, Nidalee is free to travel however she likes after casting her spear without impacting its range. So, in summation, in order for Zoe to have range comparable to Nidalee’s, she must run toward her target and combo with another spell, both of which brings her closer to danger. Zoe must commit her time and her positioning to the cast, while Nidalee simply throws the spear and goes on about her business. As I have demonstrated, Javelin Toss naturally has better range, offers ease of use, and grants her freedom after the cast. These are the qualities that make nerfing Javelin Toss more justifiable. In short, comparing Paddle Star to Javelin Toss is not a fair comparison.

Travel time AoE and Cooldown vs Nidalee.

I absolutely have no problem with her Q and E , they are fairly dodge-able My problem is the spam with her low mana costs , and her W is just too broken
