Lets talk about Yorick

I want to hear from some Yorick mains and other players with a high sense of the current meta and 's role in it.

So I started playing Yorick, long story short he's super fun, wins lanes easy, does well in trades, good sustain, easy push, easy gold. I ran into an issue though, he is not a carry. A lot of times I can't even carry a game of new players IF our team falls behind; with and without me split pushing.

Go play your best champion in a game of all new players and tell me that you cannot pull your team out of almost any situation.

I'm over-explaining; I just want to know does just lack the average carry potential? He isnt bad, he just can't be on all fronts, and it seems to me that he severely lacks in AOE damage to make a big change in team-fights on his own.

So what is 's role in the current meta, it's clear he is meant to push lanes, but is it worth it in most situations for him to keep pushing rather than teamfight? His teamfights just seems lackluster. I'm not advocating for a buff or a nerf, I just want to know where he fits snugly right now.

His niche is that he can almost split down all three lanes at the same time. If your team is ahead his splitpush can be absolutely disgusting. However his ult is very weird for that. If it's pushing another lane he loses a lot of power in duels, however if he uses it in a duel then he loses his niche pushing power.

Two things I wish he could have is the ability to call the Maiden to him if he needs help and for the Maiden to not be targeted before minions by towers. Then Yorick will be perfect.

I would say you could carry with yorick, but the problem is you would probably have to go less tank, more damage, which then makes it easy for you to die (potentially the only positive player on the team) which then makes the rest of your team die, because your not there to bodyblock, and impose your will when someone tries to dive your team

I thought it was funny how you said yorick cant be on all fronts when he is the only champ in the game who can push all 3 lanes at the same time without the help of a teamate.

On my few games on yorick i think i have won most of them. My most memorable solo carry was me winning lane then afk pushing to there inhib while my team 4v5'd mid just trying not to lose mid inhib before i got top inhib.

I hardly did anything in terms of killing people and i think my final score was about 7/4 but i got top inhib and said the first thing i said all game- come top

So my team went top and we just ended in a few minutes. The only other towers my team took was the first mid and bot tower and there lanes were pushed to inhib turrets. I didnt lose a single tower top lane. I also never walked mid or bot once the whole game and went into the jungles to take camps and went into river to get rift herald with my jungler.

I build tri force, titanic, zzrot and sunfire with merc tread boots. Thats pretty much the only things i always build on yorick if i play him because it gives him amazing splitpush lower to clear waves and kill tower as well as good damage for duels.

TLDR If you didnt read my shitty story it basically says i think yorick can carry decently by just afk splitpushing a lane until the enemy team comes or he wins the game.

I've definitely carried with Yorick before. It can be done

Also what do you mean he can't be on all fronts? He's everywhere at once if you're playing him right
