LCS and your own gameplay

So I've been watching LCS for a good while now (2 years) and I can't help but feel that watching the LCS has helped me. Just from seeing the situations that they are put in I've been able to recognize them in a way and react better than I would have if I never watched the LCS. I play a lot of support, I am just a dumb bronzie (for now) and I fully abuse the dynamic queue. Myself and friends queue together and we pull off successful turn-arounds in team fights, focus better in teamfights, and can pull off actual turret dives because of how they look in the LCS. I'm mainly just wondering if this is actually "a thing" and that watching the LCS is helping improve my teamplay? Does anyone else feel that watching the LCS helped them as well?

Yeah its a Double edged sword for me for watching the LCS.
When I see my top lane(wukong) get counter picked by a Darius I tell the Wukong " Hey do you wanna Duo jungle" same thing with other lanes that gets counter picked, or when I'm top and my bot lane gets counter picked I tell them " hey 2v1 top and I'll go bot as Maokai and sustain undertower so the adc doesn't die over and over again, or smite gromp for bot to get the exp and level up.

But all I hear is " THIS is NOT THE LCS" so they go to lane get dominated and die another 50 times over and over again.
EVERYONE IN LOW ELO would be out of "ELO HELL" if players did more stuff like lane swaps and/or duo jungle.

Watching any league will help you, especially in spectator mode. You can see things that work (like LCS) and learn from them or you see bad things and identify what not to do.

If you're Bronze or low silver don't watch the LCS for tips on how to improve. LCS players make well educated decisions. The players in your games make decisions based on... a variety of reasons, least of which is what is best for the team. Generally they care more about getting a pentakill than getting objectives that actually contribute to winning the game. So the only skill that you need to learn at your ELO is how to manipulate every ego on your team and get everyone to act together on something.

You need to take the LCS with a grain of salt. If you know exactly what to look for, you can learn a lot from watching the LCS. But not everything you see in the LCS is useful in YoloQ.

If your looking at the team placements and movement. Your going to run into problems because they rely more on your teammates. (who may not have studied the LCS) However, if you look more at individual plays, you can learn a lot about the strong LCS picks. Why they are strong, and whether you can repeat those strengths in a yoloQ match. You can also learn a lot about ward placements to.
