Sooo... damage conversion and AP Ezreal

Are we really going to pretend that having the damage of mystic shot, the primary damage move of Ezreal no matter how he's built antiscale on you as everyone gets nearly 100 armour just from levels, and tanks get 200-300 by the end of their builds is an acceptable "balance bandaid"?

All this does is completely deny AP Ezreal the opportunity to see competitive play - since no team in competitive isn't going to have front liners with 200+ armour. Can we just nerf AP ratios if necessary and put the damage conversion on lichbane already? Or better yet, remove the hard dependency on an item. To give one such solution, if the damage on mystic shot from the AP ratio begins to exceed the damage from the AD ratio, the shot becomes magic damage as glaive currently does to it. Make it purple yellow (matches trueshot and flux, neat huh?) or something when this happens so that it becomes clear to everyone that something has changed. Better yet, have it happen when his bonus AP exceeds his bonus AD.

It doesn't matter how you go about it, unifying his damage so that he scales properly in all the dimensions of AP Damage (AP, Cdr, Penetration) is required before he can be balanced properly. That or give him Kayle's passive (I kid).

Can we finally start to acknowledge this playstyle exists and balance it properly instead of having it artificially unviable for the same reason S1 lichbane was unviable?

I find the fact this has yet to be addressed is ridiculous, we learned all the way back in S1 that even with twice the ratio on it, lichbane antiscaling on mages who are unable to waste an item slot on armour pen meant the item was useless. Address this issue on AP Ezreal, and we can balance him properly. Since that change to lichbane (way back in S2 preseason I believe...) I've been asking for lichbane to convert damage like Morde's Q does. No patch notes would make me happier than the ones that finally fix the issue of AP Ezreal's antiscaling.
