So i was just wondering, the new ranked system gives me a rank after playing 1 game of rank in a position. I was just wondering if that is the rank i'm staying at until 8 games are done or will it change when 8 games are finished. I got gold 4 in mid and support so i was just asking if i'm gonna be gold 4 until i rank up. Thanks!

The rank you see is a "provisional" rank, meaning it's only an indicator of where you're currently at on the ranked ladder. You won't receive season rewards, for instance, until you complete your placements. During placements, you won't be able to drop LP; however, the gains are substantial and you can skip series, meaning placements are instrumental in determining where your climb begins.
