Detailed thoughts on the upcoming Yi changes

I always post on Reddit and link here, so here we go again! Also, regarding the 6.8 nerf to his ultimate, Ichigo made a very good post on Reddit earlier as well. I'm sure everyone already hates me because I love Master Yi, but I'm trying to argue against the existing Yi nerfs, and more importantly the removal of the Devourer. Primarily the backlash against Yi is that he's a faceroll auto-win freelo pentakill lololol hahaha jajajaja kekekeke ezpz champ, and I understand that sentiment: prior to the Rengar [over-]nerfs, I hated getting one-shot by that champ, but I understood his weaknesses, and once nerfs brought him to an acceptable level, I was happy. I don't even play Rengar, but it's unfortunate that he was nerfed too far due to backlash like this from the community, so I'm hoping to defend Master Yi before the same happens to him as well.
