I'm Burnt Out on This Game

I have wasted so much time in my life on League, and all I can feel when I look back on the time I spent playing this game is massive regret, which is something I can't say for other multi-year gaming experiences I've had (AKA: WoW).

I just recently created my very first thread in this forum regarding my concerns with the new HUD, and it became literally the biggest thread with the most up-votes, most comments, and most views of any thread on this entire forum, not just the Gameplay & Balance section. Yet, Riot still refuses to respond to it or even acknowledge the concerns of a vast majority of the people who actually logon to this forum to express their opinions.

This game just keeps getting worse. The same thing happened to WoW. You game developers just have to keep reinventing the wheel, constantly fixing things that aren't broken. I don't care about your new champions! I have been waiting for YEARS for you guys to finally release a new map. Playing Summoner's Rift over and over and over and over and over and over again gets so incredibly stale. I can't even express how much of a chore it feels like to finish a ranked game.

Agreed. HUD update is going to destroy the game. It's by far the worst update ever.

Heroes of the Storm has 7 maps atm, proving that Riot was either wrong that you need one map in a competitive game or lied in order to save effort making them.

Please keep in mind that Reds generally don't like to copy-paste a comment they make into every single thread on the same topic. Are they as talkative on the Boards as they should be? However much I love Riot and how they do things, they definitely need some work on communication. But it also kinda sucks to see people complain that Riot "never responded to something" when in actuality we've just made so many damned threads on the topic it's impossible to find the one with a Red response.

I haven't played as much as you, so I still think SR is fine.

I mean, to them a new map usually means a custom selection of items. I'd be fine with some new gamemodes that STICK AROUND instead of being like 1 time every few months :\

What IM waiting for is for them to get off of there asses and start 1) listening 2) fixing the champs they already @#$ have.

I'm running MP5/level selas, quints, and glyphs on galio, just so I don't have to buy an item that's useless on him (athene's).

Why? Cause my regen rate means after a few spells, I'm out. Period.

And I'm melee......with spells that activate once every 7 seconds....... Yea #Balanced

The "old" HUD that everybody wants back isn't even the HUD that the game started out with. It seems like you're complaining about RIOT "reinventing" the wheel, or in this case, the HUD. But the HUD you want back was a result of them "reinventing" another wheel. So it seems like you just don't like the changes.

 I agree with you about Ranked though; it feels like whenever I try to grind out a couple games, if I win one, I feel more relief than satisfaction.

Get used to the new HUD. It's actually much better, and gives you more information. Give it a week or 2 and you'll like it more. Also, Riot listens. They changed the Fiora splash everyone was complaining about. Finally, Riot is one of the best game devs. They update their game with huge updates every 2 weeks.

Stop being a spoiled brat just because Riot won't do what you want. Leave the game if you hate it so much, nobody wants to deal with your negativity.

if riot would make an option of huds.. that would be cool. and if you played rank still.. the old hud is still there..

It's not an official Riot map, but it's incredible and amazing. Even the monsters have an 'icy' look to them. You have to update it every patch/hotfix Riot ships out though, but... It makes the game refreshing atm. :)

All I can say is, this game is not as fun as it used to be. Riot has since season 3 just started ignoring the community so. Yeah.

Bro I totaly feel you. Before the new HUD came out I didn't even know that the boards existed.Totally agree and idc if you guys read it but this is what happened to me I had opened a pool in another window which was asking if we like the new HUD or not.I just wanted to see if people don't like it as me.I refresh and what do I see...The post was **** gone ....ARE U ****** SERIOUS YOU PIECE OF **** RIOT EMPLOYES.

I feel you. I've spent so much time playing this game and have spent so much money because I truly do love it. I never got into ranked simply because I hate the ELO system. It's stupid to do so well and lose because of teammates. Most people say if you're better than your division you should be able to carry your way out of it but honestly if you can manage to do it a few times all the other losses seem to take over anyway. I like normals because people in general are less toxic and although I take it seriously I can at least not worry about getting a bronze badge on my profile (coming from a silver lol I know I'm not the best). The only way I've been able to have fun recently is to play with a 5man team. I don't have any IRL friends that play LoL but I've recently found a TS3 server with a ton of people that play and I've had fun with it, it really helps you not get bored. I can actually feel comfortable playing new champions because if I do bad no one is gonna bitch and moan all game.

There are other maps. Riot just cares about them as much/at all.

And new maps for the same modes are for sure needed. It's one reason balance is such a pain. They're always trying to perfect one map.

Why not leave SR as it is and add more.

  • One with more Jungle. Less separation between jungles making counter jungling stronger.
  • One with less/no jungle. But more lanes. Maybe 5 lanes, but not all 5 will always spawn mobs. Taking out a tower will spawn a wave in whatever lane isn't spawning any. This many sound strong, but if they counter it.
  • One with intersecting lanes. Bot lane may face eachother at the start. But if a tower goes down it's now fighting T2 mid lane tower, which cannot take damage till first mid tower is down. Taking to plane tower will go down to first mid lane tower to increase the pressure so it's not just a turtle fest at mid.
  • One with extra inhibs. Making defending a lane better add a second later of defense. But each extra one down grants extra things other than just minion power. Maybe you can buy flags to plan in them. Dealing damage to minons as they pass it, grants vision or a buff when near it.
