Why am FIGHTING Golds when I'm in BRONZE

It has to do with MMR. It could be because you have a higher MMR because you play better than your current league or it could be the Silver players have lower MMR and are getting matched in your games. I am Gold 1 but have Plat 3 MMR. My friend is Silver 4 but he has Bronze 3 MMR. Your MMR rises and falls how you play it doesn’t always rise with wins or fall with losses. If you play well you can still gain MMR if you lose the game. If you are 2 divisions above your current rank in MMR you have a chance to skip 1 division once you pass promos. You cannot skip the 1st or the 4th Division. Hope this helped.

Its your MMR. You should also notice that you get a significant amount of LP after wins. This is because your current Rank =/= to your MMR. It'll take a while before it evens out. And if you keep winning, over and over, you might skip divisions (Bronze III-I, or Silver IV-II).

op.gg calculates you have a Gold 2 MMR

yea, im new... and i started doing ranked about a week ago. took like 30 or 40 games before this stopped happening and i was placed with my own rank (i was iron, and it finally leveled out to placing me with just bronze instead of silver/gold/+)

and its not just MMR like people say. cause i had been told that, so started checking. and my mmr was/is trash (im new... of course it is, ill get better eventually) and i was playing with/vrs people whos mmr was not trash.

its a really dumb system they have.

i also think its kinda dumb, that mastery isn't incorporated into it. like, when your new, your learning champs. you have low mastery. but your constantly pitted with/against people with like 400 mastery score (ie has played pretty much every champ, enough to understand them).

as a new player, the way this whole game works, is mind boggling how bad it is, and despite that, how popular this game is.

What's the problem It means you won a lot and tying to learn and the only way to learn is to play against better players .

I think their ranked algorithm pushed out their new matchmaking before their role ranked changes. I was on gold accounts playing against plats and now they are playing against golds with bronze/iron players in them that literally play like bronze/iron players.

Same is happening to me. Like I did not play in 3 years, and I'm quite confused in what is going on. They have nerfed my champs. We have new runes and so on. At first I am thinking that it has to do with me playing 2 games with my 2 friends on ranked flex (and the are like gold). But flex doesn't have to do anything with solo. Now some people say MMR. I think my MMR is horrible, i can't play one champion with solid KDA. So idk what is going on. Rito pls fix.

Kidding aside, it seems to be a bit weird how matchmaking works. Now I'm just an unranked noob playing normals, but there seems to be a trend where you get matched with higher ranked players quite fast if your win rate is decent.

im literally 1/10 in ranked because I'm always in games with silvers while im bronze 2 I literally don't know anything they are doing and they always flame for stuff like warding
