"Currently most champions are tied into one position."

Almost 4 months ago Riot announced they want to expand their horizons for champions with more than one position/role.

The difference now, I think, is that we're actively seeking out more opportunities for champions to branch out into other positions, and see if we can support those more. So we're prioritizing those opportunities with the goal of opening up some healthy alternative playstyles.

First off, Kudos on following through with it. We're seeing AP Shyvana and AD Kennen build support. Could I suggest next that Riot turn this lens of build diversity towards support champions as well.

Things like Tank Karma and Sololane Lulu are great targets for this goal.

They have historically been two builds a large chunk of /r/Karmamains /r/Lulumains have been passionate about even if they have been consistently low in winrate (for years.)

Maybe also look to make Jungle Alistar have a little more counter play on his ganks and a healthier clear.

Riot will just support playstyles they actually consider healthy for the game. For example, Ekko jungle is healthy since his ganks are pretty fair, his only CC is highly telegraphed.

Tank Karma and Solo Lane Lulu were removed for a reason, they were not healthy for the game. Did you ever play a Juggernaut against Lulu when this was a thing?

It's already damn hard to play against a ranged champion as a Juggernaut, but you at least have kinda a chance. Against Lulu, you were not able to do anything. Her kiting with slows and ult is extremely strong and even if you managed to close the gap, she just transformed you into a squirrel and you still were not able to do anything.

And if you got help from the jungler in that situation... It didn't matter. It is Lulu, a champ with extreme utility (hence why she is a support), if she was behind in gold, she was still really useful for her team.

Just because a community liked a playstyle does not mean it should exist in the game. Fair and healthy playstyles might get support from Riot, but looking at their explanation for the removal back then, it seems that Tank Karma and Solo Lane Lulu don't fall in that category.
