Ok so what happened to Wukong?

So I went about nearly a year and a half and barely played this game. Quit mid S6, and didn't really start playing regularly until the end of S7. I remember back in S6 was fairly popular and considered a solid champ. While he wasn't picked in LCS much, I do remember seeing some high elo streams that had him in it. Now it seems like no one plays him, and I saw that (name every champion) quiz, and Wukong was the most commonly forgotten champion. What happened how did he fall so far down? I've heard some people say he needs a re-work, but I'm not sure I agree with this. I always thought his kit was pretty well designed, I did play him top recently and yeah he didn't feel as good as he use to. Not sure specifically what didn't feel right though.

wait, what? I know he's not exactly the most popular champ to use atm, but there is a Wukong in almost every other Moba, a Wukong skin in just about every moba he's not in and there are even a few non-mobas that Wukong is in as well. How do you forget Wukong when his name is literally all over the place?

Him and olaf need vgus bad. But top shifted to tanks so he doesnt get lead and then is useless. I take him mid and get S dang near every time. He just doesnt snowball as well with tanks everywhere

Yeah, he's been obscure for a while now. He really needs some tweaks.
