Supporting

I love to play all positions but I like to support when I can because not a lot of people can do it right. I was about to be promoted to b3. The first game I played adc the other two games Leona. I won the games with Leona but didn't get promoted and actually lost experience. This tends to happen when I support and win at times too. Is this normal because as far as I am concerned it is not clearly stated.
