players with terrible scores should lose more points in ranked than players with better score

I think performance within the game should affect how many points you lose. If you have the best score on your team which is a combination of your KDA, ward score, dragon/baron captures/steals, turrets taken, gold earned and other metrics then you should lose less points than the person who has the worst score. It should be ordered from 1st to last 5th with the 1st person losing the least amount up to a cap limit and the 5th losing most.

Of course it should also be adjusted for the role you are playing. So if you are playing a support and mostly just have assists, and a mid has all the kills then that should be taken into account when calculating your score.

Like others. Playing for stats is a lot easyer then playing for a win. Karthus using R every time its off CD and all 5 enemys are up will have higher damage then the karthus who holds it to help in a fight or secure a kill.

Basically all stat metrics are meangless if your not trying to win. Gold gain? Steal your ADCS cs as a support = better gold. Jungler Taxing your lane brutally = better gold for them. Wards all over but not where it matters? Vision.

Spamming abilitys any time you have a target gives damage and CC stat padding.

Any one can play for stats.

MMR & Rank affects how much you lose.

I lose 3 lp for my loses and gain 30+ for wins

Winrate over multiple games affects how much you lose and gain

Playing for stats is the easiest thing to do in the game. You can do the worst things and still get stats. Just because you have high stats, doesn't you did better than one who had less stats

It's not a system people want to deal with yet, because they must first accept that they can't troll games anymore. kappa

In all seriousness though, the issue currently is that people are playing for stats instead of wins, and that there are people playing for wins that are getting dumpstered because their mid lane lost the stats game at 5 minutes, raged at his entire team, and declared open mid on his already open mid to int even harder. There needs to be something for those who go to levels of feeding that indicate it being intentional. There's absolutely no reason people should be 1/14 in a 20 minute game if they're even attempting to play it at that point. These people are trolls at worst, or far out of their league at best, and they need it to reflect faster than MMR is currently reflecting things. I currently, however, see no feasible way to go off stats and be fair.

Imo, they need to base it off of a smaller number of games, I think. Instead of MMR over the season, make it like "over the last x games" so that those who intentionally troll games go to hell much faster than those trying to play the game. Lowering the cap from per season to last x games still brings some of that "steal your stats" stuff, but it's to a lesser degree, and "a win is still a win". It's arguably about the most balanced you can make it - to make stats somewhat matter, but still put the biggest focus on win/loss.
