Get notified for events

I am at a point in my league of legends career where I am not very interested in playing the normal game anymore. One of the only reasons I still play is so that I am good enough to have fun when there are events. My question is that now that Riot has decided that all events are going to be more spread out and more random, is there a way to get notified when these events are taking place without having to check league of legends social media/website every few days?

I know that in their updates Riot has said that their random events actually make them lose players and personally, I think that's because the players see how much fun they could be having with the cool random events but then Riot takes them away and we are left with the original game we have been playing for years and years. That's just my personal feeling but that's what exactly happened to me. I essentially am only a League player for Urf mode and All for One and all the other fun events. hell, I'll even take the poro king over a normal game now.

Anyway, if you know of any way to get notified when the events are happening, please let me know! :)
