Question about ELO/MMR from a newbie.

I've been searching and trying to understand the process as best as I can, but still fuzzy in some areas. And I have one question.

From what I've read, if you lose, your MMR will go down.

Now, lets say you play 10 games and lose all of them, but you perform very well. Like you had a lot of kills and assist and objectives and few deaths.

Basically, is there anyway that your MMR can go up, and not change if you play well and still lose?

Your MMR can go up if you win alot more games then u lose. So lets say you are currently 20 W - 25 L. If you win more than you lose and get your score to 30 W - 25 L, your mmr will go up. MMR depends on your win - loss ratio. Whether you perform well in a game will not matter, only the end result of winning or losing matters.

no. its win/lose ratio essentially your INDIVIDUAL personal skills or performance doesnt matter. just the W

Individual skill will affect whether or not you win more than you lose. In that way basing your mmr off of your wins and losses is basing your mmr off of your individual skill.

There is not a single high elo player that will truthfully tell you that bad teammates are causing you to not rise up in rank. It is simply not true. There are many bronze to diamond streams and vods to prove it.
