Riot, can you let us know when the new event/mission is working properly?

I saw yesterday that the new mode was basically broken on release, so I didn't play (not even for first win). I'm still seeing posts today that mission progress is broken, so I'll skip today, too. I'm not really interested in the idea of "try anyway and pray it's not bugged for me." Can we be notified when the limited-time mission and all its components are working properly? Will the mission timer be extended by however long it takes to fix?
