On second thought.....
Yesterday I made a post stating how it is possible to rank up in League of legends if you play consistent and stay level headed. Although I still do believe that Is true I have just witnessed something interesting.
In my post yesterday I pointed out how I reached gold 5 in preseason and dropped to silver 5 at the start of season 6 was back in silver 1 and gold promos within the first month of season 6. I also stated I have come close to doing that on a second account as well.
Although I have not personally witnessed anything too terrible this season I did notice a couple of my buddies are having trouble. Both of these players have been gold the last 2 seasons and have achieved gold within the first couple months of those seasons. However, this season 1 has not got past silver 3 and is currently on a large losing streak looking at a demotion to silver 4. The other was gold 3 last season, dropped to silver 3 at the start of the season and is now in silver 4 after close to 100 games played. The only reason I bring this up is... I know for a fact the ex: gold 3 player currently in silver 4 is a good amount better than me at league. I however have had an ok experience climbing the ladder this season while this better player is struggling. My other buddy and I are both about equal in skill but I have been staying roughly 2 divisions ahead of him all of season 6.
So the question remains. Is dynamic queue making it more difficult for solo players to climb the ladder? Or is this just two cases of bad luck/ and or tilt?
I personally believe its just bad luck and tilt but I am starting to think there might be a little bit more to it.
