Additional item slots

So the other day I was playing jinx and I noticed i was hitting end game (and selling boots zephyr) in a lot of games. My problem is that every champion is unnecessarily capped at about the 50min mark. Why not add more item slots so that we can scale forever. Just a thought, not sure how much this would break the game.
