A Return To Semi-Draft URF?

URF is probably one of the most enjoyable game modes because of the inherit mayhem of it. That being said, there are some champs that make any game virtually impossible to win and push the limit of what should be allowed. This is where the queue comes in. I think that the semi-draft pick was a better choice for the URF queue because of what it allowed you to do. First off, coming up with ridiculous team comps like the AC 130 (global ults) or Sniper Squad made things so much more entertaining. Doing something that would normally be impossible is what makes URF so great, and trying a terrible idea for a team comp is the all-natural, perfectly plump, cherry on top. Just being able to pick a champ you think might be good in a spam battle is more fun than trying to fight a nearly immortal Xin Zhao with a champ you've only played twice before. Sure, you could still pick the same champ and be totally screwed over by that choice, but at least it wouldn't feel like you got screwed over by the game.

Secondly, being able to ban champs is game-changing. I'll admit, the random queue is a good way to balance games like this, but since all champs are available, the game has boiled down to whoever happens to get the best champ wins. There's nothing worse than hopping into queue, getting a decent champ and getting hyped for some URF action, and then catching a glimpse of Karthus Sona Kassadin on the other team and knowing that you're going to have a bad time. Even if you don't want to or can't change the queue, being able to ban champs before the random pick, or at least bringing back the perma-bans, would help to make URF a mode that you win on the rift, not the lobby.

Those are just my thoughts on the matter. Thanks for reading, if you got this far.
