Should I keep playing Ranked?

Past years I finished each season around the 47-51% win rate ending each ranked year in either Silver 3 or 4 after starting each year in either Bronze 4 or 5.
I then play my placement games in which for two years in a row now I won 7/10 games with a 2.3/2.8 KDA blah blah blah self stats etc but I won a bulk of my games but yet get placed 5-6 divisions lower than where I left off last a year before.

I know Riot thinks they are helping players with placing them 5-6 divisions lower than where they left off last because " They don't want players to not have fun, potentially face tough opponents" even tho you EARNED your way up the ladder you get punished for doing so ?
It's a constant 1 step forward 5-6 steps back each year it seems.

I was Bronze 1 about 2 weeks ago, I was winning games etc, I then wanted to see my MMR just to see it so I could see where I was at on the grandscale of things. I checked my MMR and it was much higher than the players that I had previous either faced or in the same division/tier that I was currently at, a certain site even said to " cheer up" or something that I would potentially skip a division in which excited me and I powered through games to potentially get Gold but knowing I wouldn't get placed in Gold from Bronze 1 but expected to at least get put in Silver 3 or something. I won 9 games in a row and 2/3 of my promo exit out from Bronze 1 just to be in Silver 5.
I didn't skip a division or anything.

I continued on with Ranked winning 15 out of 22 games in which I'm constantly facing players that a year ago( Season 6) finished in either Gold X, Plat or Diamond and yet my MMR hasn't really jumped out the way that it supposedly did when I was Bronzd 1 but I thought it would have since I was facing players in Silver 1/Gold 5-3 but finished in the higher tiers.

Long story short started Season 7 in Bronze 4 and now currently in Silver 3 and should I even bother playing out the season potentially having to win 15 total games in a row + 7/11 games just to reach Gold or just wait and hope my 65% win rate carries over to season 8
