Hunter's Talisman Bug?

The Tooth passive does not seem to proliferate to surrounding jungle creeps if the damage is the source of an auto attack on hit proc it seems. I noticed it first with Diana and Naut and then just tested Nocturne on a hunch and sure enough the dmg caused by the auto attacks doing aoe dmg would not proc the Tooth passive either. I'd be willing to bet it's the same with all champs that have this mechanic.
