She could just ult an underfed carry and get what was effectively a kayle and olaf ult for the duration that it persisted
Tryndamere's ult is fucking healthy compared to that shit
Making her stronger was kind of a given now that she has counterplay outside of her formerly being TERRIBLE in lane (one of the worst early games in the entire game IIRC; assuming you can even call that counterplay)
If Poppy ever made it to lategame before, she could kill anyone she chose, and there was pretty much nothing you could do to stop her. Your only hope would be praying that whoever she decided to ult, is able to peel her long enough to nullify her dive attempt.

She used to have THE most busted ult in the game. One of the most troll passives in the game.
