Concern about Ranked/MMR system in League of Legends

So I was in silver 5 in season 5 and silver 2 in presason 6 !!! But after the rank reset, I played all my placements, and I went 9 wins and 1 loss. However, I got placed into Bronze 1.... How is this possible???
