Few things:

  • Highest win rate has assassin over secret stash it seems, due to win rate % potions view. Pretty sure that has to do with her range?

  • Why does no one seem to like Lichbane? Mana, move speed, AP, goes well with passive. While I   realize a lot of the times she shouldn't be in melee range, I have experienced that this is not always the case, and ideal on paper and practical in reality are two different things. Why hello, Rengar. 

  •  I actually have been leaning towards all AP runes rushing lichbane into luden's to try to snowball with maybe a seal or two. While I realize this isn't ideal for higher elo, this may be ideal for climbing through lower elo?

  • Ghost over barrier. I think this has something to do with mobility creep and I'd be interested in trying it out, though I have to battle myself not to ghost in order to catch kills.

  • I can not stand rushing Morello. I just can't - while the over all AP when you finish the item is nice, literally all you have is AP, some cdr and grievous wounds which I don't really appreciate early game. I'd much rather have the cdr boots than sorc, go lb->ludens->morello->void staff->cap if possible. Thoughts on this as well?

Feedback welcome, and tips or tricks from higher ELO Lux mains much appreciated.

Morello is bought for the Lost Chapter levelup passive. Early when you can get more out of it. Lux can farm waves pretty well early, so can hit levelups on a wave before some opponents, and have an advantage in trades.

LB could be nice, but Ludens usually fills most of those purposes. Lux is actually in autoattack range pretty often. E+basic attack is pretty core to trades if the enemy has decent positioning behind minions.

Ghost is just really strong right now, and Barrier is fairly weak. Ignite is an option still.

Thank you. This might sound terrible but I'm not familiar with the morello passive? I just came back to the game in the last two weeks and have been learning a lot of the changes as I go. I work often so I only have so much time each night to commit to playing/learning, so as it's not ideal, I've been progressing. (My Lux KDA average literally went from 1-2.0 to 4-9.0 typically in the last week or so).

edit: oh, the level up->mana passive, yes I was aware of that. I mean, it sounds great, and maybe I'm not playing optimally yet, but as I have to back sometimes from trades I tend to keep up with mana. Like I said ideal situation, sure, but... I'm just not spending 10 mins at lane in lane phase at this point.

You should be changing your build depending on your lane matchup every game. You need a MR blue page, and a yellow Armor page for mobile champs who can jump over the wave or snipe you from afar.

If you tried that full AP page with Lich bane and Assassin mastery, I guarantee my LeBlanc would jump over the minion, chain you and oneshot you for free gold every time you were in lane. Same with Fizz, Zed, Katarina and more. Her Q is so easy to juke, and her E is pretty easy to avoid as well with its long windup animation. You should be rushing Neg Cloak after 2 doran rings in that matchup, whether she got a kill or not.

I love Luxes as my matchup who build full glass cannon with Ghost, it's a free snowball. I'd say vs mobile assassins, Barrier is a must. You need to do everything you can to not feed in the first 10 minutes and get a decent CS rating so your R actually does damage mid game.

Why does no one seem to like Lichbane?

As someone who DOES love Lichbane on her, the main reason is as Lux, you will in most cases not want to even be in the position to where you would even get the auto attack off to begin with.

In the early to mid game, you can kinda get away with it, but in most cases, you wanna be so far in the back that there is no way in hell you are getting the Lichbane Auto procs off in a realistic scenario to maximize its effects, and thus pretty much any other AP item is better on her. Still incredibly fun item on her and helps in scenarios where you need more tower taking power or when you aren't threatened to where you need to be so far behind in fights.
