Does Urfrider Corki's Crit Animation Affect Gatling Gun?

I just played a game with my Urfrider Corki skin and was stacking crit chance. For those of you that don't know, when Urfrider Corki crits, Urf throws an attack with his spatula. If Gatling Gun (E) is active, you can see that the throwing movement changes the direction of the Gatling Gun spray as Urf's body moves. Is this simply a visual affect (Gatling Gun's cone remains pointing in front of Corki) or does it actually move the area of effect as well? I tried watching closely in-game to see if I would see missed damaged while fighting, but it was hard to tell what damage was coming from where.
