As a veteran lol player and old gamer what i love more than anything is dedication.

For me it is clear that riot's dedication for lol decreased a lot over the years certainly because ressources and best elements are on the new game. However LoL is riot's insurrance for the future. If your new game fails and that LoL is not at the quality the players used to have your future will be compromised.

When i see that most of the companies like EA and Ubisoft make a new game of the same franchise every year and focus a lot on micro transactions i feel like bad. The quality of their games decreased a lot and it's all because they want to change too much the recipe that made their games famous. And that's all about the money...

Look at rockstar games look how long they take to make their games 5-8 years. Bethesda and CD projekt. They don't care about direct incomes because they know that if what they release is made correctly and they take their time the content will be at a superior level and that is gonna boost the incomes and the company's reputation.

Now instead of making patches every weeks or every month. What about taking your time to deliver impactfull and usefull patches and content. One example : Instead of giving a 5 ms nerf to irelia what about diging one month about her to find a real solution ?

Instead of stressing out to maintain a short release calendar of mini patches it would be better to take your time :

  1. To make quality patches
  2. To listen to players feedback and not casus or lcs viewers only feedbacks. By players i mean someone that plays at least 7 games a week. To inspect problematic elements. To introduce quality content like odyssey or blitz.

Changing too much the core aspects of the game makes it unrecognisable for players that the reason you lost so many players this year.

Rushing things seems better but i don't think so the best games in the world took their time to be made. And the best wow patches were always rwleased after a lot of testing a lot of feedback from the players. It always take a lot of time to do things better.
