wtf is this rengar hype suddenly

Rengar has a habit of coming seemingly out of nowhere.

Not even a week later:

"Ori is fkin broken m8 her ult is almost as short as most mages and assassins Whatfffff"

All those Rengar threads have good points to them, Ever since one of the Rioter commented about a ''nice meme'' on a reddit post by a player who was suggesting changes to Rengar, Every Rengar player have decided to speak out, Nobody likes the new Rengar, Neither the players nor the Rengar mains.

The post was well articulated and got the ideas across clearly so people got behind it. I see no reason as to why the Rengar posts would not be "hyped" up.

Shit I thought Malzahar/Karma/Kog'maw was insane, this is just ridiculous. Every post about Rengar shoots to the top and has hundreds of upvotes. I agree with their points but I wouldn't rule out someone using alts, its getting to a ridiculous level and completely came out of nowhere.

A lot of Rengar mains, including me, really dislike this new Rengar, I've been ranting on the boards about it ever since release date,

We just want our champion healthy and back again, and I'm not gonna reach 1 mil mastery with him anytime soon with a Nerfgar.

Yes, I realize this new kit may seem fair, but it's not. It's really not.

His q is so clunky and has AOE?? I wanted to gauge my eyeballs when I seen this was the rework us Rengar mains was waiting on, a clunky Q, a shitty version of his ult, and a W that basically makes you waste an ability.

He also lost his ferocity without being in combat, which hurt his early game but he was stomping early game in the new season.

Riot said there is no plans for him right now, but I think in the next couple of patches, some buffs will appear.

We just gotta pray we get our knifecat back.

And please realize, a lot of us Rengar mains ONLY play Rengar, for example, I don't enjoy any other champion besides Rengar, i've tried and tried but Rengar is just a badass champion, and i have so much fun playing him.

It's motly the upvote whores cashing in on the hype and increasing the visability of a serious topic. I don't mind this really. The threads that just emptily repeat the same generally known information is a lot less hurtful when it is done in parallel to a positive movement instead of at something negative like a champion being strong.

If it were nerf threads half or more of the threads we would be seeing would be pissy rant post that make you want to churn.

It's been around, just not much until now. I think it really took off once a Rioter commented "nice meme" on a Rengar rework idea that was well thought out. Boards loves the "Riot doesn't care about its players" mentality.

There was one civil, well articulated post about why somebody wanted old Rengar back and all the people who had been busy circlejerking about Yasuo/Ori/Twitch suddenly had a new thing to talk about.

The funniest part is that old rengar was obnoxious for the same reasons that people find yasuo obnoxious. I can 100% be sure that if riot actually reverts rengar he will jump up into the 90% banrate with yasuo. And rengar mains will try to use the same arguments yasuo players used and have them fall on deaf ears. The hype is really just a result of the selective perception of the lol community
