So...can Aatrox's heal get a buff for late game? Or something of his late?
Hits every q on a champ late and heals for like, 150 hp. Lands final Q on 5 people late, barely lucky to get 300 out of it. Not to mention his WR just took a dive from roughly 49% to 46% almost 45%. How about we get rewarded for hitting this mini game with an actual heal please. This whole "after resists" limiter on the heal could be one reason why his late is extremely lackluster still. Not to mention that the only reason why the hotfix on release helped his healing was because the amount was super low to begin with, and it still had the 33% effectiveness. Same heal amount with lower effectiveness, and he barely sustains off of minions.
Like, i'm glad you targeted the minion effectiveness to weaken his early, because it does a good job in weakening his early. Now the heal needs a buff vs champions that would fix his late somewhat, and I would say maybe removing this limiter or upping the late game heal amount would be a good start. Grievous Wounds still exists in this game as a counter to healing, and mainly anyone can get it. You have
at 800 G that builds into
that gives more damage and grants armor penetration. You also have
at 3000 G that grants health, AP and magic pen. Finally you have both
at 1000 G and
at 2900 G that give armor and reflect damage that applies the effect.
Like, his job is to be frontline in teamfights (the kit is super geared towards it) yet he kinda fails at doing that job currently.
The buff might not even need to be the heal, but just doing nothing about his late other than the R AD buff and the E stack cdr being lowered two patches ago just kinda seems wrong. I've been saying ever since (but not on the boards) the rework came out, that some power had to be taken out of his early and put into his late to make this work. His early was the only thing going good for him, but that ended up being a issue so it had to be nerfed. Now he's left with what, cc and a free GA? Like, if hes not allowed to do so much damage compared to every other bruiser, at least fix something of the heal or his r blood well to give him an identity other than a typical cc bot. A title like that goes to tanks, yet his build is mostly damage.
Before I end this post off, let me remind you of what playing Aatrox was to feel like, quoted directly from the reveal page. I will bold things that are key in why I feel, and many feel, he misses the mark on.

I'm not trying to make him busted. I'm trying to make him reliable so he doesn't become like his old self, where people who didn't main him just did abysmal because they had no clue of his ins and outs and how to use him efficiently.
