HOW TO GET OUT OF BRONZE (TIPS!)
So my first post I ever made on this account was asking the question when I was bronze 2 on how to get out of bronze. I couldn't believe my eyes the other day when I realized that it got over 1.4K views!! Wowww! So this post is basically a montage of some of the awesome comments and replies I got on that post a while back and I hope it can help some of you guys!
Enjoy! :)

Took me a lil under a week to get to Gold V. Mained support Janna. > > I recommend you learn how to ward and too abuse it. Check the map as often as possible - you CANNOT rely on your adc to do so - they're busy enough trying to perfectly cs. Also don't get stuck in the "I must stay in lane" mindset. If you see a fight in the jungle, ping your adc to come with you or to be careful and assist the jungle fight. See their jung up top? Go and ward their jung a bit (works best if you're on blue side). Get the CAPTAIN boot enchantments when you can afford to do so (should be low priority).
> {quoted} > > Play an ADC with good range and just play like an absolute pansy. Just stick around the edges of fights poking at whatever is closest, making sure to keep as much range as possible between you and it. As long as you don't go 0/7 in lane you'll still be doing better than 90% of bronze ADCs by doing this.
> {quoted} > > pick champs with AOE, initiation, or CC that are also good late game. > > in bronze and silver(and gold so far) every game will go 35+ minutes so early game champs are bad. > > no matter what the team comps are, both teams will group and force team fights(even if you have no aoe and all split pushers). > > the team with good initiation will almost always win. even if youre ahead in kills/gold, if you have no way to start a fight, eventually the enemy will win. they'll just turtle under towers until theyre strong enough to win. > > leona, braum, malphite, amumu, annie, syndra, sejuani, rammus, rumble, orianna, swain, vi, wukong

Last hit. > > It's that simple. > > Nail yourself 200cs by 25 minutes (or 30 minutes pending on lane) consistently, and you'll be suprised at the effect it has. > > Consider this, and I'll use a bad example from your lolking history. > > Tristana, 129 cs in 30+ minutes. 11k gold in total. > > If you'd picked up 200cs by 25, you'd have enough extra goal in your pocket to pick up a BF sword. That's a good 20%+ increase in damage that you would be doing extra- which is significant! > > On support- focus on not just harassing, but using that harass to prevent their ADC from farming. That same 20% increase that you score from playing well, can be turned into a 20% decrease in the oppositions output through good harass and zone control. > > Particularly if you play Morg- she's brutal at control. Don't be afraid to max W and drop it under them every time they come into CS- it will push the lane a bit, but that's why wards exist. :D > > Braum/Thresh/Blitz, are all very good at the zone control, but tend to require an all in- which in turn requires good communication with the ADC to capitalise (And not leave you parked in between two stunned enemies as your buddy farms up a storm)

Decision making and farming well are obviously things to improve on, but really aren't all that necessary to hit Silver V. > > So look up builds to figure out what the core items on your champion are, and every time you buy something, justify its use to yourself. I am buying this Hydra to help waveclear and to be able to splitpush hard. Should I buy a Sunfire or a Randiuns? Their AD's are fed, I should probably get a Randuins instead because it mitigates more damage and makes me tankier. We're ahead, I want some armor and hp to keep myself from dying but some damage to keep the lead, I'll buy a Sunfire. etc. > > And as far as paying attention goes, check the map constantly. Try to force yourself to pay attention to the entire screen. Of all the Bronze streams I've glanced at, they ALWAYS react incredibly late to stuff happening on their screen, let alone the map. They tunnel vision on last hitting and won't see the Lee Sin walk completely out of a bush and into their lane for two seconds, and will only react after his Q hits them. Everytime you notice that you're tunneling on a minion, stop yourself and glance at the map and try to pay attention to the whole screen. > > Also related to that, set your camera up in positions that give you the most vision, especially. You can't react to something quickly if your screen is blocking the first two seconds that the threat is happening. > > I would drop LeBlanc too, just play Ziggs or something. You may think you play LeBlanc well, but you don't. She's not easy to win with by any means.

> {quoted} > > I was placed Bronze 3 this season, was stuck there for quite a few months before I really started to improve, started climbing for about a month and stopped playing ranked when I reached about 80 LP in Silver 4 (not too motivated to get the Morgana skin; currently working on my fundamentals in customs to get a running start next season) > > First thing I notice about your champion pool is that you play a lot of very, very high skill champions in a number of different roles (Riven, Lee Sin, LeBlanc, Vayne, Thresh most notably). I personally would advise against this: > > 1. Riven has a pretty hard time in the meta unless you really understand her match ups. She has a hard time 5v5 teamfighting since she's pretty squishy. > 2. LeBlanc is in a pretty weak state right now, plus she's very difficult to play in the mid-late game unless you have a really good understanding of the game and have a team that can utilize the advantages she brings (namely her pick potential being used to gain objectives) > 3. Vayne has a notoriously weak laning phase, and she's more suited towards split pushing than teamfighting, so she has a hard time in this meta. Also, in general for ADC, you have to be very comfortable with your mechanics and very good with your positioning (use attack move if you don't already), since a lot of lower elo teams won't peel for you. > 4. Thresh and Lee Sin you basically shouldn't play unless you have under 60 ping and are Platinum or higher; there are mechanics on the champion that are simply impossible unless you have very low ping, and most teams or players at lower elos don't know how to make use of the advantages these champions offer (ex. you can pull off amazing back to back ganks with Lee Sin, but then your lanes just feed back two kills and all your work was basically pointless). > > I'm not saying you should stop playing these champions, especially if these are the champions you're comfortable with and understand very well, but it's something to keep in mind. > > A lot of getting out of lower elo is less about mechanical proficiency on your champion and more about understanding the game as a whole. You should be focusing objectives first, then CS; kills are your last priority. ~15 CS = a full value kill, and that's very important to keep in mind; you should aim to have 100 CS by 10 minutes (this is very difficult, most pros don't achieve this). I could go on but I'm running short on time, so here are three links to video series who honestly explain things a lot better than me: > > http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/fancreations/yyu9aWdv-eye-of-the-diamond-a-new-way-to-learn-the-league > > https://www.youtube.com/user/unswlolsoc/videos > > https://www.youtube.com/user/lastshadow9 > > Best of luck
> {quoted} > > Unranked player that plays casually, but hey, I can try and throw in some tips. > Roam a lot mid, especially as LB and Ahri. Abandon your jungle entirely as Lee Sin and focus on ganking or counterjungling, because Lee is very good at those things. > Vayne relies a lot of a good support, but if you're good with her, just keep playing her. > All of your champs are very unforgiving if you fall behind. Try not to completely abandon last hitting and try to find that balance between last hitting and harass. > I would not pick Braum with a poke ADC. Pick him with an AA reliant ADC like Jinx, Trist, or Lucian. Morgana works better with Cait. > I would grab summoners depending on your matchup, not necessarily because of your champion pick. If you're looking for map pressure, I would go for teleport. If you're going for lane pressure, go Ignite. Same goes with ADC. If you're up against an aggressive lane, go exhaust. If you're the aggro lane and need even more kill pressure because their bot lane is safe, Ignite is good as well. > > Stay calm. If you're ever behind, just keep cool, and play like you usually do. If you fail a roam, that's ok, that happens. Just learn from that mistake and make sure it never happens again. > Also, buy wards almost every back and deep ward. All of your champions have crazy amounts of mobility. If you ever get caught out, just pop that escape. Deep wards also help you roam, revealing the enemy jungler's position every time they pass through one.

> Honestly from my experience there are a handful of things that will help you get to silver. Playing carefully and knowing when to attack and when to retreat are huge. This not only means when to go all in for a kill on your lane opponent, but also when to push up the minion waves and when to just chill and farm.
>
> VISION CONTROL. So important, but often just not done enough at our level of play (I'm silver). Knowing where the enemy team is and what they are trying to do is huge. Buy wards no matter what your role is and learn the places to put them in order to give you knowledge about your enemy at critical times.

> Stay Calm. The times when I am calm and play through teammates mistakes without yelling at them are the times that I have my best win streaks. When I'm playing my best I also don't let my teammates get at me if I make a mistake. I just acknowledge a mistake and try to move on. Speaking of mistakes. Try not to make the same mistake in the next 10-15 minutes. More often than not I see people go aggressive and get killed just to show back up to lane and go aggressive and die again. If you make a mistake try to learn from that error.
> {quoted} > > At the start of this season I was Bronze 5 0 lp. Yes, the very bottom. Now I am Gold 5. It seems hard or impossible at points, but just know it is possible. Lucky for you, you have passed the first step; learn to blame yourself. Also if I could give some real advice I would say MASTER 1 CHAMPION AND ALL OF HIS/HER MATCHUPS. I mean all of the matchups. This was the difference between me getting to silver and me getting to gold. Silver took me 2 years. Gold took me 2 months. No joke. In silver I only played fiora. Top, mid, jungle, where every I could. I learned build orders for every situation and experimented constantly ( even in ranked). Also it may seem "nubey" but look at lolking guides while loading a match. They show matchup tips.
I hope all of these helped you!
Good luck in solo Q!
