I have him and i wanna try jungling with him but before i do i wanna make sure that he can actually do it first.

Can the new Gangplank jungle? If so, what should i go with first? Is the choice still Parrley?

no. the aquisition of krakens for the upgrades to gps ult are way too slow to be viable. jungle monsters give no extra coins so compared to a lane gp(witch ive played against as gp) would have 2 upgrades by the time i got one.

you can do it. but it wont be amazing.

He can, it's not the best option though as it's difficult to get your silver serpents for upgrades from what I've seen so far. If you were going to do that I'd say that what you start depends on the camp that you're starting at. If it's gromp you could probably start Parrley, but if it's any other camp I'd suggest your barrels, and skill them a bit before so they charge up and you have a second one waiting.

For example, you skill up barrels, and let them charge up to 2 charges, place one down at minimum of 18 seconds before camps spawn (1:55 in case you're not familiar with that so you'd place it down at 1:37 at the latest), this allows another barrel to charge up so you'll have one on the ground and two charges stored up, this will splash AoE damage around making your clearing more effective.

As I said earlier jungling makes it more difficult to acquire your silver serpents, so GP is definitely intended as a laner more than a jungler.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dntz3k5Mykw I've been following what he's been doing. Trinity, IE, Q max, level 2 oranges. Pretty good if you ask me. Unless people start taking your jungle before you can actually farm an item.

no reason why anyone can't. just do it.
