So to quickly sum-up everything the Rioters said here, paraphrased from Zero Punctuation's MGS:V Review:

Because of course, we at Riot recently decided that we're going to take everything we've built over the years as a game developer, arrange it nicely in front of us and then pick up a big hammer and smash and smash and smash and smash and smash. "Sorry we had to cancel SoloQ but we kind of lost our interest in it around the same time we lost our fucking miiiiiinds!"

But if you do want to watch the whole thing I highly recommend it, because its a hilarious attempt at Riot trying to dig themselves out of the enormous trench they've dug themselves into.
