What secondary to pick for Mid?

Long story short I'm absolute crap at Jungle and not that great at Top, so I wanna go back to what I mained during Season 4 (took a long break from the game).

What secondary should I pick to help my chances of getting Mid? I realize mid is usually what people pick as their secondary to guarantee their Primary, but what about the reverse of this situation? Would top be the next highest wanted role? Or maybe bot?

A role you can play adequately. If you don't get Mid, ask politely if you can play Mid.

Worst thing to do is play role roulette and risk playing a role you're poor at. Just selfish and ruins the match for those matched up with you.
