The thing that bothers me most is
Ranked SoloQ told me exactly how good I was against people in the exact same test (battle) environment as me.
Ranked DynamicQ tells me how good my pool of friends are, or how I can adapt as a solo player to other groups, in an ever shifting test environment.
I feel no satisfaction from the current ranked system because I do not feel like it really means anything. There are too many variables for my rating to signal to me, the player, how I do in a strict competitive environment. It honestly just feels like a normal game with a fancy sticker on it, like you used to get in kindergarten.
The beauty of the old SoloQ/5's system was you had two completely separate systems that made sense. One for testing the individual, and one for testing teamwork. Trying to blend them has made a mockery of the competitive nature of each.
I'd much rather see a strict SoloQ, and a system developed to make finding people for a team based ranked Q easy and fun. Have a 5v5 system that allows teams of 3 or 4 to search for free agents. Put them in a lobby, allow them to talk, sort out roles, and get on a voice chat together before they now queue up as a new 5 team. Give some incentive to free agents, (bonus IP, icons, something), and have the 5v5 rank linked to the players prowess in the 5v5 queue, not a strict team.
Enacting this system would give everyone what they want. Solo players can play in a strict SoloQ, and people looking to rank with friends could easily do so by searching in client for new players to play and become friends with.
