Is it my fault?

So I was playing 5 v 5 botlane on my smurf (Yes I know, it's a smurf. dont expect much) But basically I had a Volibear Support (go figure) with no support items, constantly tries to fight the opposing team which gets us killed, and ganks other lane and leaves me to die. And the thing is, I'm a pretty patient guy, I rarely rarely flame and it's usually when someone else is toxic first. So after the first 3 mistakes, i started to chat with him and asked him to at least get a relic shield so he can maintain some gold income because he has no other sources other than kills/assists. He doesnt listen, and the more time passes by, the less he even appears at bot lane. whenever he does come though, he goes in against jinx and thresh and gives them a kill. I keep telling him to play it safe and just peel for me. Later on, he sees jinx going into a bush and i warn him that there are more people inside and that our team is really separated. he doesnt listen and we somehow got even in that fight despite the 2 v 4 situation. And by then I couldn't help but just vent out my frustration. I told him time and time again, buy wards, get a relic shield. That was the very least i asked him to do. So my question here is when is it ok to be toxic, i tried so hard not to flame but I just had such a bad losing streak because of teammates and they never ever listen to me.

TL;DR - On my smurf, volibear noob support, I nice, asks for basic things, when is it ok to be toxic because he wasnt listening to me.

It is never ok to be toxic, hold yourself to the standards you want to see the community have.

maybe look at how you play and improve yourself. no way is it volibears fault that you suck.

No, it's not your fault. It's Shrek's fault. =|

Try Normal Draft, in my experience it usually has more tryhard people. Or set up a Team Builder game so you can weed out the trollpicks and kick out people.

If Volibear is a noob, chances are some people on the other team are noobs too. If you take a smurf into PvP, you have to accept that it's your obligation to carry the game.

Use the mute button and move on.

Typing, even positively, rarely makes things better.

This is League of White Knights. Its Always your Fault. Improve, Focus on You, and somehow your solo actions will carry the team game...apparently.
