I was in a game and I was vsing a elementalist lux, I was saving my skills for when the edge of knight active wore off, but then I reliazed it was just the lux dark shield or whatever. I think they look way to similar like a purple circle around them, probably already a post on this but I couldnt find it.

They are very different hues. These "Lux is too hard to see" memes are getting old.
90% of the time you'll see/hear her W animation, and even if you don't, her shield also will gray out a portion of an ally's HP bar. Edge of Night doesn't. Elementalist Lux shields also have patterns on them; EoN is a glowing blue-ish circle with no patterns.
Get some glasses perhaps?
I once got someone to flash by throwing my W at them when they had low health.
