MMR Balancing: How often are far apart MMR players grouped together to balance out teams?

Hey everyone,

Maybe someone knows more about this, but how often are far apart MMR players grouped together to balance out teams? For example, if one team has an average MMR of 1500 (because everyone is 1500 MMR), and there are no other players that can easily make another team with the same MMR, how often are very high rated MMR players placed on a team of very low rated MMR players to force an average of 1500?

The reason I ask is because, in my opinion, it's often much more easier to play on a team with average performance (but consistent and predictable), than a team where one person is a super star, and the rest are mediocre at best. To be honest, I feel no matter how good a player is, he can't be in all lanes at once.

Anyone have opinions or knowledge on the subject?

The reason MMR is unbalance and force unfair match making is because the System allow players to sit in the lowest tier possible for a long period until they can demote to the lower tier, EX: P4 to G1

That allow players to tank their MMR for a long while making them sit in a elo they don't belong in.

And let's say what happen if they tank their MMR for a good period already but then didn't find themselves to demote and then started picking up their win streak again? Well, it basically just put them in a elo they don't belong in, creating "Unfair match making"

Other reason that can higher and lower MMR is the Duo system.

When a higher MMR player duo with a lower MMR player, they boost and lower each other MMR

Meaning, the lower players MMR get boosted while his duo MMR get lower. Trading MMR increase and decrease.

How do I know this? Cus I've done it, not intentionally to boost myself or other players but just something I know from experience playing with lower and higher MMR players.

EX: Let's say you have a good high MMR and you duo with an extensionally low MMR player. You will find yourself to receive very little LP gain because the system detect you playing a "Very Easy" game match making. Because I usually earn 20+ LP, but I find myself gaining only 10 to 15 LP because I was duoing with a really low ranked MMR player.

The reason why it's hard to balance MMR is because RiotGames only count towards mostly Win/Loss ratio with little performance evolve or none at all.

Your stats are basically nothing and it don't even matter in the MMR system.

From what I see ALL the time. Riots MMing in Silver and gold is complete garbage.

I guess another fair comment is that you could end up being the "Dead Weight" added to a high MMR team just to lower the average enough for match making. However, I would argue that having a team full of good players and one bad player is much easier to mitigate, than having a team filled with bad players, but one super star.
