@Meddler/Scruffy/etc. - Is a Champion based around "Zerging" still out of the question?
I asked about a year or so ago (IIRC) about whether or not Riot might be up for making a Champion designed for "Zerging". Basically, a Champion who spawns waves upon waves of little minions that are meant to overrun an enemy position.
Now, before you say "Yorick", he has certain toxic points that are putting him in the rework queue, so he doesn't count. Besides, he hasn't been viable for years.
Besides, I would design such a Champion differently. I would design this Champion to use the minions in a particular way, not just have them as an add-on to the kit. This Champion's minions would be designed for pushing and sieging, not team-fights. But beyond just the minions, I'd make such a Champion built around map control and objective control, able to use the minions and other resources to create favorable combat zones for its team. This would be akin to Zerg in Starcraft 2; they fight more favorably on Creep.
But the bottom line is this: Are "Zerging" mechanics still "bad design"? Or could they now see use on a future Champion?
