People who complain about meta

Im sick of seeing people complain about meta, and the notion people only follow meta and what pros do. League of Legends has grown astronomically, over 30 million plus people play this game hence the upcoming of the LCS scene and it popularity. It is now recgonized as a sport in a sense, a ESport. Plz people compare this (E)Sport to other sports. NFL per say, coaches(pro players) evaluate players(champions) in a way to assess their skills and place them in proper roles so they excel. This is why you see all 6 foot 5 300+ men playing defensive and offensive linemen and not running back. This is why pro LCS players form their opinions based on patches and the assesment of skills of champions to excel in certain roles. Copying them is only right it encourages competitive behavior and that is what you want with a growing game. If you login to League of Legends with the perspective this a game you just mess around with just to have fun I feel like that is a shit perspective to have. The amounts of learning and gametime it takes to get ready for ranked queues and to get in and people are not taking it serisouly is very discouraging.

Winning and dominating is fun in my opinion. whats the point of playing AD malzahar if your 0-12 and you cant even get what you want out of AD malz cause your getting steamrolled.

It's like when i play pick up basketball at the gym with the 6 foot 8 kid who sits on the 3 point arc all game and makes 1 of 6. Its like dude get under the fricking basket man.

Its not Meta, its the way the game is SUPPOSED to be play. Stoping disrespecting it with ignorant attempts undermining it.

Oh yeah, play the game the way its "supposed" to be played and promote stagnancy and no critical thinking.

Yeah no. The problem with these "meta-adhering" players is that they actually don't do the work in learning about each champions mechanics and exploiting them to its fullest potential. They literally mimic what a pro-player does. Hell, NOBODY played Urgot as much as now until a post from a pro finally said he was "viable." Yet the reasons attributed to this post on viability was pretty well-known to anyone who's played Urgot beforehand, and it only took a pro-player post to kickstart his popularity. It's the literal definition of a sheep.

Pro players, or anyone that is actually good at this game KNOW their mechanics and know how to exploit them to their advantage. In your AD Malzhahar example, for instance, you do realize that the minions he summons scale of his AD, right? It was especially good in URF, where he could cast spells in rapid succession, to summon hordes of them to pile on the enemy team. The people who play AD Malz aren't being morons, they are taking advantage of a specific detail in the champions mechanics to gain an advantage over their opponent, who is probably so used to dealing with a particular build that he/she is thrown off when he/she sees something else that's working. It's genius.

Honestly, if anyone followed your ridiculous methodology, people would still be playing Annie midlane only, or Nidalee Top/Mid only.
