Gragas is Fat! Why the heck is his E width so thin!?

What is he? Is he made out of Jelly? Like I can E through Malphite and Mundo. I even use E to go foward towards a skillshot because it made me soo thin and the skillshot would just slide next to me. There was a Zilean once he tried to bodyblock me soo I could not escape through the baron pit, little did he know that Gragas was thinner than he look. Now Lets give an exemple of another champion: Lee Sin R activation range is RIDICULOUS. What is he? a 12 feet tall basketball player? Like he has the tallest Legs ever? When He R at his maximum range his feet doesn't even touch the champion.
