I used to main him for a long time, them the "Bruiser Yasuo" meta happened, and it made me disgust those who played that way. and now he is pretty much perma banned from matches because people think he is the "Ungodly destroyer of pussies" OP, or the guy is a complete idiot using him and feeds his ass off.
Now i'm trying to re-main him because Yasuo playstyle is that category i call smoothy champs. His playstyle is one of the few champs that i play purely by instinct (Others being Poppy, Ahri, Jayce and Jhin).
Anyways, Yasuo for me is a touchy subject in terms of nerfs because one missplaced nerf or change will fuck his theme of the Swifty Windy Deadly Samurai-y. I mean, people bitch about his passive, but he only deals 90% of a normal crit from his autos, and 75% on his Q, which it does not matter if he have 100% crit by rushing Phantom Dancer them Agility Cloak, he still loses on damage by relying on his "weakened" crits (But gains some protection from PD, which he really needs). People bitch about Yasuo "unlimited dashes", which is pretty much a lie since he suffers from Rengar Syndrome. While Rengar needs bushes to jump into people, Yasuo needs minions/monsters/champions to dash, which give him a great mobility, but as long he have left some exits open for him (I've saw enough Yasuos that dashed all minion wave like a retarded, them either burned flash or died by a gank.). Wind Walls is another thing that people complain, but most Fighters/Assassins have a form of defensive spell on their kits, or a spell that is either used offensively or defensively (Zed Shadoes, Akali Shroud, Talon new parkour, Fiora Parry, Diana shield, etc.). And his ultimate. OH BOY! His ultimate, unless you are a god Yasuo player that can either land a 2 man tornado on the ADC and some other squishy in the other team, you will have to rely on someone to do the work for you, and this brings the major way that was used balance Yasuo in my opnion.
He needs help with most of his kit. He needs to land Qs to get his knock up, which can bea very deadly in team fights if he don't pay attention to everything. His dashes need targets to be used, his ult needs a knock up from him or someone on his team to be used. While Yasuo can dash all over the place in TFs and get charges for his knock up, he will die THE! INSTANT! he either get focused, he blows his wind wall on something stupid and/or don't get the priority targets with his knock up.
For me, Yasuo is fine the way he is, which don't hold much ground since i am/was a Yasuo main... Oh well.
