@Riot: You Created the Game You Wanted and I No Longer Care

I am just amazed that the epiphany that this once amazing game is in one of the worst states I have ever seen it, and I realized that I no longer care. I don't care that my favorite character was nerfed into the ground, her item nerfed into the ground, and her left to die on two different occasions (Sejuani, Taliyah: yeah, my luck was fantastic). I don't care that there are so many bullshit zero counterplay champions and abilities that make you not want to play the game. I don't care about the pro-scene, the patch notes, or the inevitable jungle rework every season.

I don't care about the game. If you don't care about the game, you have no reason to play it. Riot, you have created a game that is irresponsible in its gameplay choices, arrogant about its reasons for killing certain characters, and you promote the most cancerous playstyles. Instead of trying to adapt and spend another year, another season, another game trying to find a reason to play this game, I am just going to play something else.

Good day.

I watched a recording of an old game I had in early S5.

No plants, no RNG dragons, enchanment boots (WOW) , laser towers, Enchantment: Magus.... it looked a lot more fun than what we have today.

I feel like there's been a fundamental shift in the direction of the game since the early seasons.

It's become a lot more about mechanic skill / APM spam than strategy.

People getting to have fun playing as a champion is prioritised above people getting to have fun playing against a champion, and this isn't considered wrong by Riot.

The balance has become more like everyone is supposed to be OP in some way rather than everyone being balanced. In theory, if everyone is OP, no one is, but the type of gameplay that this encourages is usually very frustrating to deal with.

They make changes to things that are perfectly fine, end up making them less healthy to play against and often feel less rewarding to play as (by lowering the skill requirement), yet they never revert the changes or admit that the changes were wrong. Instead, they make more and more changes to try to fix the problem that their changes have caused.

They only rework champions who aren't as fun to play or aren't OP enough in some area, while leaving ones that everyone hates playing against untouched.

Bye, hope you find a game you enjoy. Personally I've been here since the beginning, and I still love the game, but there's no use in playing something that's supposed to provide you entertainment if you don't like it anymore...so yeah, good luck.

Good Day ;) Lux

I never understood this. If you don't have fun with the game anymore why do you feel the need to let everybody know that you dont have fun anymore. Sure it could be the game that changed so drastically but then a lot more people would feel this strongly about the game. Did you ever consider the possibility that your own tastes just changed? Fundementally the game is still the same as it was 3 years ago. So Riot put a a few stickers on their Beetle. Its still a Beetle. Most importantly it's their Beetle. And they want to pimp the Beetle so that the majority of people want to ride it. Riot isnt going to make a decision that purposefully loses them money. Thats absurd. Money has no equal. Money > Pride. If Riot made a decision you can bet your ass it was made with the bottomline in mind.

Now for an opinion. It doesnt matter that Sej and Taliyah has been nerfed into the ground. Because anywhere before plat or maybe even diamond people wont know how to consistantly exploit their overbearing weaknessess. Now I dont know what Elo you're at but if you really enjoy playing a character then winning is just a bonus. If you're at Diamond 2 with 90lp then yeah Taliyah probably wont work but then its your own responsibility to communicate that to Riot with definite reasoning and justifications. I think everyone at Riot cares about Balance cause these are THEIR champs. Literally these are their creations, their pride. They're going to keep a champ in a underpowered position unless it's a net gain for game health [Azir, Kalista, Teemo] ect.

So what I'm saying is that it might not be the game that has become unfun, league has something like 100 million active players each month-thats an awful lot for an unfun game, but it might be because you're own tastes change. And its silly to tell Riot you dont enjoy their game anymore because 1)They dont cater to you, they cater to the majority. And 2)They're not about to risk losing money making decisions that are ungrounded in data.

Give us examples, don't just make a claim and not back it up. What do you mean by promoting a cancerous playstyles? What do you mean with zero counterplay champions?

Right now it's just you crying about problems that only you know about. Tell us what you mean so we can discuss.

Just leave nobody cares about you lol. You don't need to seek for attention and up votes if you want to stop playing.

This is specially true for those of us playing in smaller regions like LAN.

They wanted to cram as much people as possible into Ranked Flex, because it's what RIOT wants. So they deleted normal draft, which is what WE wanted.

Ill stick around until Sol gets adjusted, then ill judge whether or not this game is worthy of my time anymore. AurelionSol

I do agree though, I started in the beginning of S4 and I gotta say, its certainly different watching replays of it..... sad.

Oh well. Take Care Mate! You play on steam at all?!
