Why are we purposely put with a worse team in our promos?

I mean, if you already make it to 100 LP why should you be put at the disadvantage WHILE having to win the majority of your games? I mean, I have failed 4 promos because I always get the team that is obviously less experienced in ranked and with less wins? Sure, I could carry them but some of us don't play to "carry" they play as a team and rely on their team. Not saying that is me, but why should we be handicapped just to prove we "deserve" the rank-up?

I didn't even know promos worked that way until this morning, when I realized that the caliber of people I'd been playing with for the last 20 or so games was obviously worse. Toxic, too. The rage and feeding was too much, and I didn't know what to do. Needless to say, that was a lost promo series.

So, yeah, why does the system work this way?
