Few questions on new Adaptive helm
I'm wondering if there isn't too much conflict of interest between
and the new Adaptive helm item. It seems like the new item passive "Taking magic damage from a spell or effect reduces all subsequent magic damage taken from that spell or effect by 15% for 5 seconds." in concert with 70 Magic resistance may negate the efficiency/functionality of this combo (2800 gold counter to 5700 gold worth of items), especially considering that the passive
is based on current health. I Personally never felt that the current rendition of Liandry/Rylai was very powerful to begin with. so I'm wondering:
With such a direct counter does Adaptive helm risk not only pushing Liandry/Rylai but also the majority of the few champions who use them effectively out of the map?
Will this item will prioritize the highest effect or magic damage source ( in the case of multiple sources applying damage at the same time) or will it just reduce all sources that apply magic damage in tandem?
In the case of champions like or for example who apply relatively small chunks of magic damage in rapid succession (both their Q's having low CD's and being their highest damage output abilities overall in this example) wouldn't this item be too effective?
{{champion:30}
. Also its good to note that its spell damage which isn't restricted to just ap champs including some who are also not as strong:
. I get that riot wants to make
calm down a bit. ESPECIALLY CASS. But in all seriousness this is a bigger nerf to champs who are already weak than to those who are currently strong. Atleast i think so, also cass was nver really viable until most of the burst mages became useless do to the ap nerfs. Powerful cheesy mid game spikes are nice but late game mages are glorified supports unless they can tank bust or have some unreal damage like
