  1. Why are we creating more rank tiers when the problem lies on people that trolls and intentional feeding. Are you aware/address that there are going to be people now wanting to lose creating more frustration for those that want to climb when the new season begins?
  2. The system seems to punish those that are heavily toxic by looking at the chat, but won't address those that are trolling or intentional feeding? They can place a "bad game" and be left alone. I believe toxicity exist because people whom want to climb are visibily frustrating by others that play either a new champion or role without much knowledge and practice. would you disagree or agree Although some players say negativity will make them play worse: my answer is dependent on that individual. If he or she does not what that champion does or the role itself then why did you play/choose that? What makes it ok to be a burden and create visible frustration? you can't play any worse than what you are doing now are my counterarguments
  3. why should everyone in that team lose the same amount of Lp? I'm perfectly ok that a certain minute like 40 min+ everyone should lose the same amount of Lp but the early to mid game should be decided more on how they communicate/map awareness etc. If someone plays a new champion or role give them a warning that if they lose they will lose more LP and are aware by their action. This will place more accountability toward that individual.
  4. I would rather have a toxic individual than a troll or intend feeding. At least the toxic individuals want to win. the problem is that people are learning new champions and roles instead of owning up and practicing their new champion. I always say own up to what role or champion you do and be the best. Even the pros can't master every champion and don't often have the best instinct when playing out of their comfort zone. 5/ Anyone that has mastery teir can only be allowed to play that champion in rank ONLY. This should only be applied to plat or above i\ This place ACCOUNTABILITY. This will prevent intentional feeding and will filter those to play normals instead of being a burden when playing Rank. This is because rank is a competitive game and shouldn't be treated like a normal game.
  5. people should not lose lp if they dodge. they shouldn't have to waste lp and time just because they see a different comp that they don't feel comfortable in.
  6. I have previously asked for replays and if someone afk before the 5 minutes that the team shouldn't be held liable for that loss. Those at least we are thankful as the lol community. I would like to be constructive. Let me know if there are flaws or improvement in my argument. I just want us to have a voice in what we want in terms of improvement and changes that RIOT sometime take forever in terms of implementing. I like everyone else felt pissed when the rank developers only looked at adding more tiers to "solve" the problem when its truly deeper to the problem.

...do you mean me? I mean, I have thoughts on these topics if you'd like my input, but I'm puzzled as to why you'd ask me specifically.

But sure. Why not.

  1. More ranks isn't to help with trolls or feeders -- it's to increase the satisfaction that comes with gaining a rank, and also to position the ranks to better express actual skill differences.
  2. It does address trolling and intentional feeding: it's just not as fast at catching it. Definitely a place that needs improvement, but that's no reason to let toxicity reign.
  3. Because you ultimately win or lose as a team. Players have routinely shown that with enough games they can earn back their proper placement, and there is no good metric for "contribution" that can't be easily abused.
  4. That's great for you. Others disagree. Ultimately, ranked isn't SO serious that you can't play something you like rather than whatever you're best at, and that's been Riot's policy.
  5. Nonsense. A lot of champion skills are interchangeable, and that artificially limits a champion pool, denies people the ability to play their fun new champions, and basically turns ranked from "a way to judge how good you are" to "a place where you can ONLY play things we KNOW you're good at." That's not really it's purpose, although some people think of it that way. Also, it overly penalizes people with broad champion pools or people who play multiple roles.
  6. When you get free dodges, games never start. People will simply quit any lobby that doesn't have the team comp they want, or where allies fail to ban what they want, or when the enemy team looks too strong. This would DESTROY ranked play-ability. The dodge penalty is one of the few things that helps to ensure that games actually start, and that the ranked draft stage matters. If you're losing a draft and facing a much better team and you just dodge, that whole stage is meaningless.

Addressing points 1 and 2. It's not that trolls and inters are not punished, its that they are harder to identify, so they can often get away with more games before they are punished.

Point 3 : Your point is not very clear on how to determine whether communication and map awareness are judged. It would be difficult to do make LP gains and losses off of that.

point 3.5: The obvious issue is that if you penalized people for playing new champions, everyone would be penalized early in the season for they first set of ranked matches. another flaw with this is what happens if you get autofilled as a support one trick to jungle? should you play thresh jungle just because you don't want to be penalized?

point 4: once again, what about autofill, if I only have mastery on mages, what am I supposed to do when i get jungle?

point 5: Dodging would become very very very prevalent if you make it so people don't lose LP. For example, I mostly play mid, and I like my mage vs mage matchups. I don't enjoy playing against assassins nearly as much. I would have free rein to dodge whenever I saw that I have a mage into assassin matchup. I don't think this would be healthy for the queue, and it would make having getting into a game a nightmare.

point 6: remakes are good, no complaint there.

anyways here is my personal feedback and issues with implementing your changes.
