Graves' threat assessment
When I saw Graves was actually getting a shotgun, I knew I had to try him out. Yeah, it's pretty insane, and he's awesome now. I don't know if this power boost is supposed to apply to this degree or to all ADCs, but there's a good chance he'll need to either get hit with the nerf bat, or maybe the enemy should stop going all AD melee assassin and actually pick up some crowd control for a change.

So Graves' identity now is... well, that of a shotgun. He deals his damage in short, but explosive bursts, and he is incentivized to get closer to his targets to dish out enormous damage. Once you get down the timing on his reload (as well as the one-shot reload on his E), he becomes a dangerous powerhouse capable of flooring even tanky champions surprisingly quickly. Crits don't apply to him in a traditional sense; he fires twice as many pellets on a crit, and ten if he happens to have Infinity Edge. This makes him exceptionally dangerous in duels and a maximum priority target in teamfights. It also ends up making perfect sense to build a Hurricane on him because of this shotgun philosophy.
This excessive power might need to be scaled back, though. I get the timing on his Q is supposed to limit the amount of damage it can do by giving his opponent a chance to dodge, but I found him clearing entire undamaged waves with one Q once it got to level 5, without building any serious damage items yet. The name itself is also pretty wrong, as I've suggested in an earlier thread., but that's a different story.
What do you all think? Have you tried out the new Graves yet, or have you been on the receiving end of his shotgun?
