Tryndamere Mains Don't Fear Heimer Cheese (Very In-Depth)

Hello everyone! Just a random post here by a low level Tryndamere main. I'm S5 with 150k mastery in Tryndamere, so I know I clearly chose the wrong champ to main. Especially for this season.

I played a game recently where I saw a teemo pick coming based off the bans, so an irl friend banned Teemo for me because he knew I was going Tryndamere top lane. I'm not out to flame the person or anything, but I assume he went full salt mode and picked Heimerdinger for the zz'rot/banner build. I'm sure all Tryndameres have seen it. Heimer builds a zz'rot and pressures you with spam autos and abilities. Soon enough, you can't farm, even under turret. All you can do is sit back and watch him continue on to build that banner, since most jgs don't want to gank that thunderlord's/exhaust heimer, and he out-pressures the rest of the game.

'''''' RUNES/MASTERIES '''''' I'm sure there are better runes/masteries, but these work. 2 life steal quints, 1 flat ad quint, flat ad marks, flat armor seals (could be mr vs heimer), 6 flat or scaling cdr glyphs, 3 armor glyphs (could also be cdr) For masteries, I take 12/0/18. Yes, that's Grasp of the Undying. Why? Read the Strategy section. '''''' BUILD PATH '''''''''''''''' Spirit Visage, Ravenous Hydra, Boots of choice, Guardian's Angel/Mercurial Scimitar, GA/Merc Scim, and a defensive item for ad champs late game. (armor item) '''''' STRATEGY '''''''''''''''''' DO NOT BUY DORANS OR CULL. Go with a long sword and 3 pots. Start with your E. Yes, spin to win. (One thing to keep in mind is that I run the standard TP/Flash) Since you have sustain built into your keystone, topped with health pots and a dash, the idea early game is to try to out-farm him. As long as you stay away from his turrets before your SV is built, you're ok. If he tries to spam autos on you or blow abilities outside the mini turrets' range, trade back. Just make sure you build up your Keystone timer and then trade back. Max your e first, then your q, leaving one point in w as long as possible. It's a good idea to use your w when he spams autos, which lowers his damage on you when he's facing you. Around level 5 or 6, Donger runs low on mana, and your wave clear is better than his with aa's. Donger will back. Push the wave, back, and hopefully you have enough gold by now to finish SV and start on Ravenous Hydra. Make sure you get the Vamp Scepter and Tiamat first. Your wave clear and the active on Tiamat destroy his turrets whilst healing you. Sure, he gets some damage off, but that SV helps your sustain substantially. Be sure at this point to clear his turrets as quickly and efficiently as possible. This will cut his mana down fast. Do not push the lane out unless you want to leave it. Let it sit about the edge of the bush nearest your turret until then, and farm up. If Donger didn't switch build paths, he's got a full zz'rot by now, starting on his banner. At the point where you have a full Spirit Visage, Ravenous Hydra, and Boots, Donger will have a zz'rot along with a banner and boots. You out-damage, out-sustain, and out-farm him now. Donger will not stop trying to pressure your tower, making you get farther and farther ahead, since you just sit there outside the edge of your turret range and pressure him off your minions. Continue to build on the defensive path. Tryndamere's wave clear will give you the pressure to push back slowly, while making you tanky and keeping you healthy. This is especially helpful when the enemy jg comes in for a gank. Always save your flash for enemy ganks. Flash and your e almost guarantees an escape. If not, keep popping your w and q as you try to spin your way away from the clutches of death. My boots of choice were berserker's greaves for the faster wave clear vs the zz'rot portal minions and the super-beefy banner cannon. Another strong pick is the Merc Treads. The MR and reduced stuns/slows help substantially as well.

Sorry this was so long, but I hope it helped.

I'd appreciate as much positive feedback as possible. I understand my runes were terrible, let's avoid that topic. XD
