Whats the point of urf?

I would sort of understand the game mode if you could pick your champ, but otherwise, i just see no point in playing it. unless you are just trying to turn off your brain for a bit? high cc fighters, long range ap, cc in general just dominates the game. it's all based on who you randomly get, and how much you mash your keys rather than any form of skill. 10 urf games in, the team with more cc has won all 10.
