Ekko is still OP

Not really. Even when fed it feels like he needs to hit you 3 times before killing you.

IF you use Ekko's ULT Properly. I truly feel he is the most Viable Mid AP right now. If combod correctly it's like an Ori ult and will One shot whole teams. (Full AP Disclaimer)

It's the nature of his kit. When he is played well, he will be hard to counter by most of the roster, since they have less tools to deal with him on their own and sometimes even in teamfights. His kind of design is what Morello used to complain about a long time ago.

I.e. A champion shouldn't lose their counterplay simply because they're being played well.

The result is that we have less hard counters in the game, but quite a few champions that just outclass others of the same type, which means less diversity overall. Most of the reworks haven't done much to help with this issue either.
