Balance issue

I was matched with 4 plats gold 5 against our team (golds and a lvl 30) please explain to me how that game was balanced? I would like a detailed explanation if possible. It did not make any sense to me that the game was in any way balanced. Game date 7/25 6:50pm-ish EST.
