Climbing out of Bronze, solo feels unfair.

I'll admit that I'm not the greatest player, however I consistently match/play well with the low to mid tier Silver players. I can't get get over the Bronze hurdle because of two reasons. the biggest being my fault.

Biggest reason: I'm a support main and even after playing the game as long as I have, I haven't played other roles. This leads to me being able to hold my own as a support player against Silvers but useless in another role against silvers.

The other reason where I feel that it is unfair is that I get matched with unranked players or new accounts in their provisionals constantly. Why is it that my placement in ranked is based on incoming new accounts that are, still learning the game but pass the requirements to queue for ranked, or unranked players the clearly don't belong in the games that Riot is using to gauge their skill level.

Possible Solutions: -Riot clearly tracks how well you match up in all gameplay areas compared to the other tiers via the new Stats tab. Create another category of unranked players so they don't interfere with those already ranked.

  • Increase the requirements to play ranked

  • Soft cap the MMR of those in provisional matches increasing/decreasing as the keep winning/losing but not allowing them to exceed a certain amount. Ex: A level 30 account shouldn't have the same MMR as someone in high bronze or low silver because they won a single match while still in their provisional matches.

Just some thoughts. Open for criticisms, or other suggestions. Maybe we'll see some changes with the new season starting on the 12th.

Playing any PvP part of this game is not fair and not balanced.

1 Never flame ever 2 One Trick a mechanically easy champ pref with CC 3 Siege Towers 4 Roam and learn to position in lane 5 Farm Farm Farm don't worry about kills

bronze is a cakewalk if your a jg main, just pick up xin zhao or nocturne and fuck some kids up early game and it should be out fairly soon, but maining support isnt a good idea till around gold

I think the biggest travesty is players with say 10-20 ranked games as an adventure is match with supports with hundreds. It should not happen in any rank. I'm a few divisions ahead of you, just made it back to SIV and it isn't better here either.

In fact played a ranked around 5am this morning and the enemy ADC was in promos sitting at 3-5. That's B.S.! I felt bad for the other support too who has about 75 ranked games, because that happens to me as well.

My best guess is provisional games allow the mmr or LP to swing too much in one direction.

It works in Chess, because it's a solo game, but in can be devastating in a team game. Especially if this is the first season.

I've tons of ideas, but I don't think we'll see a change in this particular situation.

I hope poariinal ranking will fix it but I don't think it will.
