Unless you're a god at video games (especially fighter style games), you're not going to become pro when you first start. It's a complex game, where sometimes you have to do everything perfect to be successful, and even then it may not work out. You are already doing great things to improve yourself like looking for help/resources, self evaluation, understanding weaknesses. Continue doing so! I've looked up guides for like 2 years, about every time i load up. You can watch replays of your games to figure out what decision you should've done. it's important to understand that only you can climb yourself (exception, boosting), so even if bot goes 0-14 and there was literally nothing you could've done to prevent the adc from poor positioning, still look at that game and question how you could've played differently. There are many videos that state "how to climb" or "difference between low elo and high elo" or even "how to play (insert champ here)". Help your team and ward.
To answer your questions:
1: What role? I have seen different sources stating different things: that it's about playing meta champs and team comp; support out of bronze, mid out of silver, adc out of gold (not exactly what that source said); and play your most comfort. But I would say between Top, mid, and jg it doesn't matter. If you want, take whats best of all stated: pick a meta champ that fits into almost any comp or a few champs, and spam them. Or, what I do, play what you want and git gud with that style of play because it is a game that is suppose to be enjoyable. I think if you want to git gud on such roles, then picking two isn't bad because it's easier to stay proficient when you narrow your focus, but which two doesn't matter. But obviously understand all roles, in case you need to Phill it or play in-sync with that role.
2: CSing and Romes? Create a custom game and do drills. Practice last hitting for 10 minutes without using abilities only AAs. Start over, and practice 10 minuets, using only abilities. Start over, practice 10 minutes combining. If you can't get high % of cs on these drills, remember that you don't have an opponent in your face. So git gud with that. For roaming, it's largely based on wave control. Practice good wave control, you'll understand opportunities to roam or command your lane. Took me a long time to figure that if you want to freeze a lane right out side of turret is to always have 4 enemy minions alive, and if the lane is in the center you need 3. If the wave touches a turret, its going to bounce back the opposite way. If you want to roam, its best to do when your wave is going to hit their turret, but don't roam too early unless you know the reward is worth it because you don't want to lose early game exp. If you notice the enemy bot is playing really aggressive and your teammates are hugging their turret, go bot. If someone mentions so-in-so flashed, go to that so-in-so.
I'm not a great player myself. I struggle to get out of silver 2. Silver 2 has been my home for too long. I understand the struggle, so even if you read what i said, or what others say here, you probably won't be diamond at the end of it. But keep trying and never stop learning.
